It’s official. Mount Cain opens on January 7th, 2006.I hope everyone can make it up to enjoy the powder and support Vancouver Island’s best ski hill.

Well we finally got snow on the island, so we all headed up to Washington on monday. The snow was great.. great first tracks through the glades... good day all around. There are a couple new pictures posted by Tom on the site. Mount Cain hopefully will be opening up this weekend.. if they got the dump Mount Washington got it should be a great opening day. The season is up to speed, finally.. better late than never.

Mount Washington is open today with a base of 120cm, early season conditions and reduced lift passes.. but atleast they are open! No word on Cain opening yet.. they have gotten snow but not quite enough to open yet... soon I hope.

Some snow is falling up at Mount Cain.. hopefully if it continues they may be able to open this weekend! Mount Washington got 40cm in the last 48 hours. Finally some good news for a change, hope it continues through the week.
